We Believe Chapter 1
(Preview)
Hi All, I hope everyone finds there way here. I'm sorry I'm starting so late in the day. A year ago I had all the time in the world for whatever I wanted to do. Today that has changed. But that is a story for another time. I never did read up on how to be a good leader. So I'm going to wing it. Which is prob...

We Believe Chapter 4
(Preview)
How is everyone doing in their reading? Hopefully no one is having problems. As a cradle Catholic everything I've read to this point has been a quick refresher course. But I know not all of us participating are cradle Catholics. Some are new and some are returning. So if there is a point that you wa...

We Believe Chapter 3
(Preview)
Are you all still with me? I know the first parts of We Believe are very basic parts of what we as Catholics believe. Fr. L does get a bit deeper the further one goes in the book. ----Chapter 3---- As a cradle Catholic and a frequent church goer, Chapter 3 held no big surprises or insights for me. I take t...

We Believe Chapter 2
(Preview)
How is everyone getting along with the book? I've read a bit ahead and feel like I ought to go ahead and post about the next few chapters. Not everyone will want to comment on every chapter so this will give most people an opportunity to comment. -------Chapter 2------ The opening of chapter 2 is one...

Is anyone still around and wanting to do this study? Even if it is just a couple of us it could be nice to get going. Thanks!

I guess we won't be doing a bible study
(Preview)
I really don't love the book that was chosen, but was happy to use it since everyone was so enthusiastic. I guess the interest isn't there! Maybe we can try it again sometime later.

Studying Scripture From the Heart of the Church, Part 2
(Preview)
Maybe starting with the discussion questions wasn't the best plan. Maybe we should just ease into this more slowly...... When reading the first chapter of Genesis to Jesus, what did you learn that you didn't know before? Did anything surprise you? What are you hoping to gain from doing this Bibl...

Lesson 1: Studying Scripture From the Heart of the Church, Part 1
(Preview)
As we begin this Bible study, I think it would be great if all of us could say a prayer to the Holy Spirit to help us be able to interpret the Bible correctly and to let the words of the Bible touch our hearts in a special way. Lately, as I have been starting to reread the gospels, I started to realize just how mu...

Lesson 1: How a Catholic Starts to Read the Bible
(Preview)
(Sheesh, guys, I'm gone for two weeks thinking I'd be a chapter behind and the Bible study hasn't even started yet. LOL. I'd like to hear others thoughts on the first chapter.) It is interesting to read the Old Testament in light of God revealing Himself to us. Catholics certainly aren't the only one...

(Preview)
I read through the first part of the lesson online today, and I am hoping to go through the list of readings later. I was just wondering if anyone else was starting!

Where to start?
(Preview)
From the poll at TWTM it seems that the St. Paul studies were most voted for. Logically the next step is to pick one of those six. Please review the six available and vote on which one you would like to start with. -- Edited by parrothead* on Wednesday 29th of June 2011 03:42:46 PM -- Edited by parrothea...

When do we want to start the Genesis to Jesus? The website says there is a book to go along with the website and Bible. I don't know if everyone who wants to use the book wants to get if from Amazon. For some of us getting it can take two days. For others it migh be up to a week. What day sounds good for you?...

Amazon says my book will be here between July 11 and July 29. I think it's fine to start the study even if we don't all have our books. The website says the main book is for the study is the Bible, of course. Denise

Do we have anyone who wants to be a course leader?
(Preview)
Does anyone want to be "in charge" of a particular course? It looks like the majority of people want to do the Genesis to Jesus study first. Anyone want to take this on?
